Combination beverage unit -
Discountinued
Model 184A Combo Unit comprises the most needed electronics for lowband enthusiasts
in a single package. It features out most popular Model 180A match system with a
built-in 9th degree BCB highpass filter (Model 402) and a 20db broadband preamp
in a single case. BCB filter and preamp are switched into circuit only when 12VDC
Neg. Gnd. is applied, either from external wireline to terminal strip or via Model
184D Coaxial duplexer in shack, sold separately. When 12V is removed, entire package
functions as a Model 80A, allowing antenna testing and matching through the circuit.
Preamp range 1.8 - 5.0 MHz
Size 4" square, 1.5" tall, weight 1 pound, SO-239
input. Model 184 2" (HWD) 1.5" x 1.5" x
2", dual SO-239s, 1 pound.

RF Limiter / receiver protector
Here is a trick unit that is ideal for serious listeners on HF, VHF, and UHF. Receiver
protector limits input RF signal threshold at any frequency at 0.3Vrms to protect
receiver front end from damage due to nearby transmitted fields. Receiver still
acts normally and measured signal strength is not affected.
Circuit uses a multi-stage design of transformer saturation coupling and current
limiters. Models 196 and 198 are receive RF limiting only, while models
197 and 199 offer the same but with our constant-drain, capacitor-blocked lightning
arrestor technology built in to the same unit.
For all receivers, especially the new broadband super-sensitive
solid state units. Low frequency models are fitted with
RCA pin connectors while high frequency units are BNC.
N connectors available on request. Chassis measure
(HWD) 1" x 2" x 3", weight one pound, packed
with 4 page owner's manual / data sheet.

Remote RF Power Switch
Eliminate hundreds of feet of costly coaxial cable (and the large bundle the cables
produce) by installing an I.C.E. remote RF switching assembly. The ideal tool for
simple antenna selection switching vertical / horizontal polarity schemes, phase
or directivity switching or using one coax feed line between multiple antennas, 500
Series switchers offer a wide variety of types designed to fit just about any application.
All unit is are heavily shielded, 1/8" thick chassis, brass
connectors, and have stainless steel grounding bolts.
Each switch uses all soldered connections wired internally
with copper strap hardwiring (no PC board), standard rating
7,500 Watts PEP / ICS, insulation rating of poles and
relay armatures 2000VAC, switching time 11ms., usable
up to 500 feet from feed voltage source, 50 / 75 ohms,
0.1 db insertion loss, DC-30 MHz
Better yet, each switching unit contains a resistive heating element which may
be switched on and off from the control source or left on 24 hours per day (total
cost about 5-7cents per year), keeping the relays and chassis housing warm and dry
-- even in harsh environments. All models rated for indoor / outdoor service,
flat surface mounting (tower plates, bulkhead ground frames, floors, roof or
vertical wall). For improved outdoor service add one of the appropriate weather
enclosures listed below, right (referring to Power Switch Enclosures, maybe add
link instead)
System operates electrically with small conductor wire
(as small as #24), only 80mA for 12VDC models.
Model 512 is available in several different styles. Specify 512A for axial style
(input on one side, two outputs on the other side). Model 512R is a radial design
with input and both output connectors on the same side. Add letter "G"
to either style part number if grounding of unused ports is desired.
Model 516 is available in a radial style which fits the Model 516C
enclosure in a 3" x 6" chassis with all ports
on the same side, automatic unused port grounding. Model 519 is new for 1998 and is also a radial style, but
with a whopping 9 selections from a single input. Constructed
in the same 3" x 6" heavy chassis, it also features
unused port grounding, 7500 Watts power rating, DC-30
MHz usage. All units packed with owner's manual, connector
covers.
